  8. error-free transfer of text and binary files between computers over
  9. asynchronous direct or dialed connections. There are Kermit programs for more
  10. than 300 different computers and operating systems. C-Kermit is name of the
  11. Kermit program for UNIX. It is distributed in C language source form, complete
  12. with installation instructions and user manual. This material is unlicensed,
